On June 27th, He Yong, Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University and former Dean of the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, along with Nie Pengcheng, Member of the Academy Affairs Committee of the Zhejiang University Shandong Agricultural Research Institute, and their delegation, visited the Shandong New Green High-Efficiency Agricultural Industrial Park for research and a symposium. Zhang Wei, Director of the County Bureau of Science and Technology; Xu Bangli, Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Director of the County Bureau of Science and Technology; and Yu Jinfeng, Director of the County State-Run Farm Seed Research Institute, accompanied the research visit and symposium. Chang Xiulong, Deputy General Manager of Shandong New Green Ecological Technology Co., Ltd., warmly received the delegation and provided a detailed introduction to the park's construction and other related matters.



Zhang Wei introduced: "Under the guidance and coordination of the County Party Committee and County Government, the New Green Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, built with financing support, is currently the world's largest production base for Anthurium cut flowers and the largest domestic production base for Phalaenopsis cut flowers in terms of both scale and technological sophistication. It not only leads the development direction of modern agriculture in Lanling County but also drives agricultural industries in surrounding towns and villages toward standardization, normalization, and industrialization. It promotes the integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries and contributes to the rural revitalization of Lanling County."


He Yong introduced the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science at Zhejiang University. The college has two first-level doctoral degree authorization disciplines: Agricultural Engineering and Food Science and Engineering. The Agricultural Engineering discipline is included in the national "Double First-Class" discipline construction and received an A+ rating in the fourth round of discipline evaluations, making it a peak construction discipline at Zhejiang University. Zhang Wenna, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Development Department of the Zhejiang University Shandong Agricultural Research Institute, stated that as a native of Lanling, she hopes to take this inspection as an opportunity to bring more cutting-edge technologies and professional talents back to her hometown.


He Yong remarked that the industrial park in Lanling County features a rational layout and well-developed supporting infrastructure, with broad development prospects for the cut flower industry, modern agriculture, intelligent manufacturing, and other sectors. He noted that Zhejiang University and the Zhejiang University Shandong Agricultural Research Institute will, based on Lanling County's existing resources and development foundation, carry out work in modern agricultural technology promotion and the recruitment of highly specialized and cutting-edge talents. They will deeply advance institute-local cooperation, promote the sharing of innovation resources, achieve high-quality integrated development of Lanling's distinctive agricultural industries, and contribute to rural revitalization.
